Hi, fellow teacher
I don't know how you feel about holidays but I think it's always a great chance to bring culture and talk about stereotypes that do not reflect reality. In this case, I've decided to do both in the lessons I'm sharing with you today.
CEFR A1 | A2: In these lessons, Ss will be exposed to the history of this holiday. There's a vocabulary exercise, reading activity and speaking activity. There's also a song activity to wrap the lesson up!
CEFR B1: In this lesson, Ss will be exposed to the history of this holiday but in a different way. We'll use a KWL chart (know, what to know, learned). They will watch a video to complete the chart and there's also a song activity to wrap the lesson up!
CEFR B2: In this lesson, Ss will be invited to review cultural stereotypes from Ireland and how they can fight against these stereotypes about their own country. They will watch a video to analyze what people say about the Irish and there's also a song activity to wrap the lesson up!
I hope you enjoy the lessons!
Cheers!
